Join herbalists Nicole from Abriendo Caminos and Shel from Creations by Florea for an immersive Herbal Workshop Series focusing on Balms & Salves! In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to craft your own healing balm and salve using raw local beeswax, medicinal herbs, and nourishing ingredients.
This series of in-person workshops will guide you through the process of making an essential Calendula Balm, known for its soothing and skin-repairing properties, and a warming Mugwort Salve, perfect for relaxation and circulation support. Whether you're a beginner or have experience in herbal medicine making, this series offers valuable knowledge, practical skills, and a welcoming community space to deepen your connection with herbal healing.
The workshops will be held at The WorldBeat Cultural Center. On April 5th, we will focus on connecting with the spirit of Calendula, while Nicole guides us through crafting our Calendula Balm. On April 12th, we will hone in on the powers of Mugwort while Shel guides us in creating our lovely Mugwort Salve. You are invited to join both or one of the workshops in this series.
All materials will be provided, and you'll leave with your own handcrafted balm and salve, plus the confidence to create more at home!
Our ticket prices are set on a sliding scale—pay what you can. This structure ensures our work is honored while keeping the workshops accessible. We kindly ask that you contribute with integrity. Don’t miss this opportunity to expand your herbal wisdom and hands-on skills!
